Welcome to the BUOS website!

BUOS is the UK's first national ophthalmology society for medical students and junior doctors. The society will provide a platform for those who wish to pursue a career in ophthalmology by providing educational opportunities. We also hope our events and material on the website will boost every medical students confidence in dealing with an ophthalmic condition! We welcome any questions or comments.

Undergraduate Ophthalmology Educational Survey

The British Undergraduate Ophthalmology Society in association with the The Royal College of Ophthalmologists Education Committee is conducting a short survey into current ophthalmology teaching at medical school. We would like to invite all medical students (year 3 and above) and junior doctors (FY1/2) to participate in this 15 minute survey. Some sections of the survey can be skipped if they are not relevant to you.

Your feedback is vital in helping improve future ophthalmology training at undergraduate level. We depend on a high response rate to gain meaningful results. Therefore, I would ask you to make time to complete the survey prior to closing on 1/9/14. As a thank you, by completing the survey you will be entered into a prize draw to win £50 amazon/iTunes vouchers.

Thank you for your time.
